In many individuals, blood pressure rises and exceeds the critical threshold of 140/90 mmHg.
If you are already on long term antihypertensive treatment, occasional blood pressure measurement and the accompanying guidance can help improve the effectiveness of your treatment.
The blood pressure measurement itself takes place in our consultation area (away from the counter). You will be asked to sit and rest for five minutes before the measurement. The measurement is then taken using a cuff wrapped around your arm. The result, obtained one to two minutes later, is reviewed and discussed.
